Apache Reunion

Were you a Twin Boro Apache in the 1970s or a fam of Apache Football?

How many of you remember the Twin Boro Apaches? or perhaps you were a Twin Boro Apache in the 1970s.

Thirty-seven years ago they were the team to beat.

On September 8, 2012,  the 1975 Greater Pittsburgh Metropolitan Football Conference Champion Twin Boro Apaches will be recognized during the Riverview-Avonworth football game in Riverside Park in Oakmont, PA. The game starts at noon.

Following the game, there will be a reunion open to players, coaches, family and friends at the Verona Moose, 312 Arch Street, Verona, PA.  Cost is $25 per person, which includes a buffet dinner and open bar.

Can you name any or all of the players in the accompanying picture? If so, tell row and number from the left (or right if that is more practical) who the player is.  If you have any pictures of the Apache team, please add them to this post.

For more information, call John (JB) Schaal at 412-406-7634.

Now there's a man who knows The Apaches. Thanks for adding the names of the players in order. Even the names bring back memories.

I was just a little kid, but my Dad loved watching their games (I think he secretly wanted to play). Can't wait. Janet Kolar (Capuano)
