Clean up Saturday
Spring has arrived in Verona. Spring cleaning begins on Saturday, April 20 at 10 am. Meet at the municipal building.
There was such a great turn out for the “planting of the trees” last Saturday the VIP (Verona In Progress) group is hoping the civic pride continues for the Verona Spring Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 20.
All citizens who care about Verona are to meet at the Municipal building (736 E. Railroad Avenue) at 10 am. Bags and gloves will be provided as well as bright orange vests. Water will be given to all participants.
The Borough has been looking so much better thanks to those who are picking up daily and those who have stopped littering, and the seasonal clean ups. It’s so easy to just throw something (cans, paper, bottles) out the car window, but it is just as easy to have a litter bag in your car and empty that when you stop for gas. And walkers, you too can help by not dropping candy wrappers and such whenever and wherever you open your treat. Special thanks to all those who are conscientious and help every day!
