First Snow of Season

Today, 11.12.13, we had our first significant snow.  The tree branches were covered, the lawns and yards were sparkling white, and it was cold and sun shiny.

One of the best things however, was the streets and sidewalks were bare and even without ice.

Now we can get on with the season…some have had to clean off the frost on their windshields so the scrapers were found, the car battery was checked for starting in cold temperatures, we overcame the gawking at the snow scapes as we drove along, we were able to wear our winter clothes, and just maybe the soup kettle was revved up.

Soon we will tire of all this, but for now it felt like winter, it looked like winter, and it was a beautiful day.  I hope you enjoyed it.
