Kudos and more Kudos

Kudos to Angela Joyce Santucci, a 2010 graduated from St. Joseph School and a senior at Oakland Catholic High School, who participated for the sixth year in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) Regional Competition on February 1, 2014.  This year’s Regional meeting was held in Duquesne University.

Angela’s presentation was in the chemistry category, “The Effect of Different Solutes on the Specific heat of Water.”

Angela received the following awards:

                First Place – Eligible for State Competition, Pennsylvania University, State College May 18,19,20, 2014.

                American Chemical Society – Dr. James Manner Award for Excellence in Chemistry - $100.00

                Intel Corporation Science Talent Search Merit Award - $100.00

                Sister M. Gabrielle Maze Award from Duquesne University - $100.00

                Perseverance Award - 6 years of competition (1 second place, 5 first places)

Angela has been accepted at Penn State Main Campus in the School of Engineering.

She is the daughter of Frank W. and Donna Santucci, Jr. of Verona, PA and the granddaughter of Frank and Mollie Santucci also of Verona.
