Obituary - Carl J. Vinante

Carl J. Vinante passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

Carl J. Vinante, of Oakmont, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Consulate Health Care, Cheswick, at the age of 82.

Carl was born in Pittsburgh on September 6, 1930.  He was the beloved son of the late Valentine and Josephine Vinante; dear brother of the late Marina (Walter) Crnjarich and infant sister Margaret Vinante; uncle of Barbara Crnjarich of Oakmont, Richard (Valerie) Crnjarich of West Deer, and Robert Crnjarich of Shaler; great-uncle of Michael (Jessie) Crnjarich of Beaver and Brian Crnjarich of Natrona Height; great-great uncle of Caden and Luka Crnjarich.  Carl is also survived by his special friend, Carolyn Lawrence of Oakmont. 

Carl was retired from Gulf Research in Harmarville, served as an usher at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, and served in the Army. He enjoyed golfing and had a hole-in-one at age 64.  He also enjoyed walking, going to casinos, fishing, bowling, and volunteering for Meals-on-Wheels.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Consulate Health Care for their compassion, caring, and support during this difficult time. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 9:30 am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont with Father Frank Kurimsky officiating.  Interment will follow at the Verona Cemetery, Oakmont.
