Robert E. Farabaugh, Sr., of Verona, passed away in his home on Easter Sunday Morning, March 31, 2013, at the age of 81. 

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Rose Marie “Tootsie.”  He is the loving father of Robert E. Farabaugh, Jr., Valerie (Eric) Hreczkosiej, Rose Marie (Matt Podobnik) Condron, Christopher (Lynne) Farabaugh, and Roberta L. Farabaugh; grandfather of Angela (Joe), Ashley, Bill, Shawn, Julia, Dennis “D,” Genevieve (Will), Joby, Samantha, Brandon, Elizabeth, and Christopher; great-grandfather of Shawn Michael, Dominic, Adrianna, and Sofia; father of the late Laura (Farabaugh) Walk; son of the late Homer and Genevieve Farabaugh; brother of the late Homer (Flo) Farabaugh and Shirley (Pat) Nuzzo. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10 am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.

Edward W. Campbell

Edward W. Campbell, of Oakmont, died peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at age 84.

Ed was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine Campbell “Sweet Lorraine” for 63 years.  He is survived by his children Sandra Valdiserri, Gary Campbell, and Holly Campbell, and granddaughters, Ashley and Amber Valdiserri and Michelle Campbell. 

Ed was a longtime Oakmont resident since 1952, where he built the family home on 13th street.  He owned and operated Oakmont Auto Body and Magnus Auto Finishes until retirement.  He was an avid sports fan and was an exceptional baseball player in his early years.  His hobby of collecting Lionel Trains was a passion for many years.  He was a kind man with a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. 

Friends and relatives will be received in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 7-9 pm and on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning in the funeral home. 

Giuseppe (Joseph) Santucci

Giuseppe (Joseph) Santucci, of Verona, died on March 31, 2013, at the age of 86.

Joseph was the husband of the late Anna Santucci; beloved father of JoAnna (Ronald) McCarrison of Penn Hills, Anthony Santucci of Verona, Joseph (Pamela) Santucci Jr. of New Kensington and Tina (Gary) Pish of New Kensington.  Joseph is survived by grandchildren Adam, Jason, Jesse, Jennifer, Jacob, Lucas and great-grandchildren Mia and Jaxson.  He is preceded in death by his brother the late Gino (Maria) Santucci.  

Joseph immigrated from the town of Roccacinquemiglia, Abruzzo, Italy to the United States in 1947.  He worked for Schultheis Bros. Heating & Roofing for 35 years.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Verona Eagle Lodge #1634 and he was an original member of Roccacinquemiglia Society.

Friends will be received Wednesday April 3, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Parish, Verona, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11 am with a burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Donna M. Teckmeyer

Donna M. Teckmeyer, of Delmont, (formerly of Oakmont and Greensburg), died peacefully on Monday, April 01, 2013 at the age of 60.

Donna was the beloved wife of Jerry Teckmeyer for 35 years; loving daughter of Steve and Mary (Marra) Semencar.  She is loving mother of daughter Angela (Marty) Spieler and son Jeremy(Cassidy Tenney) Teckmeyer; loving Oma of Bryce and Riley; sister of Steve (Shari) Semencar; and sister in-law of Carol Teckmeyer, Joanne Fitzgerald, Jean Stafford. 

Donna loved all the Pittsburgh sports teams and will be remembered for her loving and caring ways to her family and many friends.  Donna was loved by many. 

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, in Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont on Thursday at 12:30 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to:  the Arnold Palmer Pavilion, Mountain View Memorial Park, 200 Village Drive, Greensburg, PA  15601.

Ralph "Skip" Fitzroy

Ralph "Skip" Fitzroy passed away February 4, 2013.

Skip was born August 7, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA.  He was the third child of Roberta M. Sarver Fitzroy and William T. Fitzroy, formerly of Penn Hills. Roberta predeceased her son in 2004.  He is survived by his father, William T. Fitzroy, presently of Oakmont, PA; his son, William R. Fitzroy; his wife, Angela; and their daughter, Lillian Rae of California; his siblings, William T. Fitzroy II and Beverly Hyde, both of Bluffton, SC, and Beth Shearer, Dallastown, PA.

After attending Penn Hills High School, Skip joined the Marines.  He had been a mechanic before enlisting, and was trained in vehicle service while deployed.  He was selected for Third Force Recon and completed two tours in Vietnam.  He was an excellent marksman and earned the National Defense Medal.  He was honorably discharged as Sgt. in 1971,

Skip settled in Hawaii, with his wife, Wendy Rae Macfarlane.  They were blessed with Billy in 1973.  In 1980 he moved to Arizona and held the highest ASE Master Technician status in the state.  In 1990, he was severely injured in an automobile accident.  

A Memorial Service to celebrate Skip's life will be held in the Longwood at Oakmont chapel, April 5, 2013 at 2 p.m.  Local arrangements were provided by BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., Oakmont.

George M. Gallagher

George M. Gallagher, of Harmar Twp. passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the age of 72. 

George was the beloved husband for 47 years of Carol A. (Sutton) Gallagher; loving father of Michael (Darlene) Gallagher and Shawn (Gloria) Gallagher; grandfather of Whitney and Joshua; brother of Robert (Roxanne) Gallagher and the late Lawrence and Patrick Gallagher; and brother-in-law of Beatrice and Dianne Gallagher. 

Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church (O’Hara Twp.)

Robert C. “Bob” Purvis, Sr.

Robert C. “Bob” Purvis, Sr., of Cheswick, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, at the age of 91. 

Bob was born on September 10, 1921 in Tarentum, to the late James and Charlotte (Simmers) Purvis.  He was the beloved husband of Frances Purvis; loving father of Robert (Donna) Purvis, Jr. of Apollo, Jeanne (Michael) Devlin of Covington, Georgia, James Purvis of Centerville, OH, and Nancy (Thomas) Coriale of Daytona Beach, FL.;  step-father of Bernard (Sally) Dobroski of Kenilworth, IL, Saundra Dobroski of Toronto, Ontario, Robert (Natalie) Dobroski of Des Plaines, IL, Carol (Alan) Samel of Havertown, PA, and Janice (Al) Klein of Harwick; grandfather of 16, great-grandfather of 6; brother of Charlotte (James) Stewart of Lower Burrell.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Bette Jeanne (McCullough) Purvis, two brothers, and six sisters. 

Bob served his country in the Army during WWII in the 10th Armored Division.  He had 35 years of service as an Automotive Technician with Gulf Research and will always be remembered as being a terrific and wonderful person.

Friends and relatives will be received during a memorial visitation on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 7-9 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  Services and interment will be private for the family only.
