Obituary - John R. Keener

John R. Keener went home with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012.

John R. Keener, of Natrona Heights, went home with his Lord and Savior, at the age of 72, on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

John was born November 8, 1939, in Pittsburgh, to the late Lawrence and Thelma Tate Keener.

He was the husband of Katherine (Coffroth) Keener; dear father of Sean (Lisa) Keener, of Massachusetts, Rynae Baker, of Natrona Heights, and Daena Eberle, of Arizona; and brother of Mae Jenkins, of Sarver, and Karen (Larry) Brown, of Texas. Thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive. John is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Aaron, Paul and Joseph; and sisters, Naomi Donnelly and Margaret Lang.

John was a member of Open Bible Church, Springdale, and served in the Army during peacetime.

Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service at 3:30 pm Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Open Bible Church, 401 Colfax Street, Springdale, PA, 15144.
