Obituary - Joseph C. Lang Jr.

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012 Joseph C. Lang Jr., of Longwood at Oakmont, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away at the age of 89.

Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Martha P. Lang; dear friend of Mercedes C. Monjian also of Longwood at Oakmont.

Joseph was born in Dayton, OH and spent his early years in Cincinnati then moved to Pittsburgh at the age of 13. He received a Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh where he taught night school for 22 years. He worked for US Steel and Allegheny Ludlum before joining the Department of Economics at PNC Bank where he was sent to speak on the economy both locally and outside the U.S.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 in the Longwood at Oakmont Ballroom, 1:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
