Katherine Frances Borkovich
Katherine Frances Borkovich, of Harmarville, died Friday evening, Nov. 2, 2012, at the Willows Presbyterian SeniorCare Oakmont, at the age of 85.
Katherine was born June 28, 1927, in Harmarville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Yez Caleta. Katherine was the wife of the late Edward William Borkovich; dear mother of Stephanie (Richard) Golovich, of Sunrise, Fla., Deborah (Dario) Rischia, of Plantation, Fla., Mark (Elizabeth "Betty") Borkovich, of Texas City, Texas, Michelle (Jack) Steedle, of Sewickley, Daniel (Jackie) Borkovich, of Indiana Township, and Stephen Borkovich, of Harmarville; sister of Lynda Hubbard, of Bakerstown, Calif., and the late Josephine Tuche and Diana Piersoll; grandmother of Kathyrn (Jeff) D'Agostinis, Tessa Golovich, Christian Rischia, John Bachman, Jason (Erin) Bell, Madison and Mackenzie Borkovich; and great-grandmother of Kole and Lukas.

Katherine was a retired waitress at the Fox Chapel Field Club for 20 years and a member of St. Pio of Pietrelcina Catholic Church (formerly St. Franics) of Harmarville. She was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union and proud of her heritage. She was a graduate of Oakmont High School.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Catholic Church, Harmarville, with Father Joseph Keenan officiating. Interment will be next to her husband Ed at Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.

Mary C. (Jada) Nirschel, formerly of Penn Hills, died Sunday morning, November 4, 2012, at the age of 91.
Mary was the wife of the late Herbert J. Nirschel; dear mother of Diana J. (Robert Jessup) Nirschel and William F. (Susan) Nirschel; sister of Donald (Patricia) Pisera and the late Rocco, George, Charles, Frank Pisera and Rose Maloney; and grandmother of Christopher and Laura.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION and ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Verona.
