Mary W. Russo

Mary W. Russo, of Penn Hills, died on Friday, November 2, 2012, at the age of 69. 

Mary was the mother of Greg Russo and Melissa Russo and grandmother of Morgan and Max Russo.

Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10 am in St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, Penn Hills. 

The family suggest memorial donations to Forbes Hospice, 4800 Friendship Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15224.

Sandra Jean “Sandy” Hoffman

Sandra Jean “Sandy” Hoffman, of Penn Hills, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the age of 53, in UPMC East, Monroeville. 

Sandy was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Jane (Riley) Schmidt; beloved wife of Randal “Randy” Hoffman, loving sister of Cheryl (David) Goldberg of Point Breeze, Janet (Timothy) Mueller of Vandergrift, Richard Schmidt of Chalfont, and Mary Kay Mellon of Verona; aunt of TJ Mueller, Elliot Goldberg, Lawrence (Chelsea) Mueller, Stephanie (Matt) Robinson, and Adam Schmidt. 

Sandy was a dedicated tutor for CCAC and enjoyed her hobby as a stained glass artist.  She will be remembered by her family as a giving, kind, and extremely creative person.  

Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm in the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11 am with the Rev. Laurie Lesoon officiating in the funeral home.

Helen Virginia Bigenho

On Monday, October 29, 2012 Helen Virginia Bigenho, of Oakmont, passed away at the age of 87.

Helen was the beloved sister of Florence Otto and the late Muriel Eiler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Funeral service and interment will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139.
