Ronald J. Garda, 70, formerly of Westminster, Calif., died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at UPMC St. Margaret, in Pittsburgh, at the age of 70.
Born March 20, 1942, in Russellton, to the late John and Wanda Aleskowsz Garda, Ron was a retired electrical designer. Ron was an avid fisherman, Steelers fan and talented musician, who also enjoyed classic cars. He loved his grandkids.
Ron was the beloved father of Stephen (Laurie) Garda, of Oakmont, Ronald (Maryann) Garda and Randy (Michelle Dzikowski) Garda, all of Whitehall; brother of Caryl and Robert Garda, both of California; and grandfather of Allison, Evan, Andrew, Natalie, Alex, Megan, Corinne and Grace.

Friends and relatives will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am Monday at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont, with Father Frank Kurimsky officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
