On Saturday, May 18, 2013, Samuel L. Amodeo, of Oakmont, died at the age of 74.
Samuel was the beloved husband of Kaaren L. Amodeo; loving father of Sherry Farina (Nick), Michael Amodeo, Rosie Biondo (Peter), Kay Janflone (Tony), Jon L. Amodeo (Miriam) and Suzanne Amodeo; dear brother of Roseanne McNeil (Chuck) and the late Katherine.
Mr. Amodeo was a graduate of St. James Grade School in Wilkinsburg and Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School in Oakland, class of ’56 where he was the first 3rd baseman in CCHS history. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as Senior Vice President of Giant Eagle supermarkets after 40 years of service, also a member of St. Irenaeus Church, Oakmont and the Oakmont Country Club where he was chairman of the Senior Swat.

Friends will be received Monday, May 20th from 2-4 & 5-8 pm in the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA, 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 10 am in St. Irenaeus Church, Oakmont. Interment will be private.
