Here are three local obits.

Wayne E. Ramsey

Wayne E. Ramsey, 81, of Oakmont, died Saturday evening, Febuary. 16, 2013, at the age of 81, in the Willows Presbyterian SeniorCare, Oakmont.

Wayne was born July 14, 1931, in Pitcairn, to the late Vincent and Alvina Mayer Ramsey.  Wayne was a member of St. lrenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont, a Korean Navy veteran and was retired from sales with DuBois Chemicals.

Jack  was the beloved husband of 30 years of Irmie Ramsey; dear father of Linda (Butch) Durkt, of Cheswick, and the late John Bartosik; uncle of Glenn (June) Airhart, of Plum, Cathy (Matt) Petika, of Avonmore, and Sally Vasko, of Oakmont, and many other loving nieces and nephews; and grandfather of Jeff (Denise) Durkt and Kristi Durkt.

Friends and relatives will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Wednesday in St. lrenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont.  Everyone meet at the church.

George E. Fowkes

George E. Fowkes, age 79, passed away on February 12, 2013. Survived by his beloved wife, Betty J. Moravick, he was born in 1933 to the late Harold and Eliza Fowkes, and was preceded in death by siblings Pearl Rudy, Clarence R. Fowkes, John Fowkes, Earl Fowkes, William Fowkes and Florence Bonomo. Aside from his wife, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. George served as a captain in the United States Air Force, was an attorney with a law practice spanning 50 years, mainly in Oakmont, and was an avid outdoors man and champion trap shooter who competed in many state and regional competitions. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139, where friends will be received at 1 p.m., Friday March 1, 2013, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ducks Unlimited. John “Jack” W. Heil

John “Jack” W. Heil, of New Kensington, died on Saturday February 16, 2013, at the age of 69.

Jack was the beloved husband of the late Mary Jane Heil; caring father of John W. Heil II (Jeanette) of New Kensington; grandchildren Caitlin, Daryl, Tiffany, Matthew; and great-granddaughter Sophia.  Preceded in death by his parents John Heil and Thelma DiSalvio.  Brother of Thelma Lloyd, Georgia Capozzi and Donna Jacka.

Jack was employed by Allegheny Ludlum for 30+ years where he retired as a crane operator.

Friends will be received Tuesday February 19, 2013 from 1-5 pm in the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA. 15139, where a funeral service will be held at 5 pm with Pastor Linda Chambers from the Oakmont United Methodist Church officiating.  A private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
