Car Crashes Into Verona Post Office, No Injuries Reported

An accident occurred at the Verona Post Office just before 4 p.m.

A car accidentally crashed into the Verona Post Office on Allegheny River Boulevard just before 4 p.m. Monday afternoon. No one was hurt.

Verona police Chief Ron McLemore said a motorist accidentally put his car in reverse and crashed through the building. The motorist won't be charged because it was an accident, he said.

The area where the crash occurred currently is blocked off with caution tape. McLemore said the area should be secured by this evening.

A spokesman for the postal service did not immediately return phone calls requesting comment.
