CCAC Increases Security After Bomb Threat
A bomb threat was received on Wednesday. Everyone entering CCAC facilities must show photo identification and bags will be checked.
The bomb threats have spread to another area college.
On Wednesday, the Community College of Allegheny County received a bomb threat. According to CCAC.edu, everyone entering CCAC facilities—including Boyce Campus in Monroeville—must show photo identification. Bags also will be checked.
According to an email sent to staff, the threat was vague. It didn't indicate a location and said something would occur Thursday or Friday.

All CCAC facilities were checked with bomb-sniffing dogs before opening today, Thursday.
Monroeville police and Allegheny County police have been put on notice and will be patroling the area. Campus security also will have an increased presence at Boyce Campus, according to the email.

Local colleges and universities——have been receiving numerous bomb threats since February.
