Detached Car Bumper Leads Plum Police to Motorist Accused of Property Damage

Here are the Plum police reports for April 17 to April 23.

A Penn Hills man is facing charges after allegedly causing property damage to the lawns of two Plum homes and an elementary school—and police caught up to him after finding a car's bumper in the middle of the road.

Nikalaus T. Kuhn, 18, was charged with damage to property by motor vehicle and careless driving after an April 17 incident on Millers Lane.

According to a police report, a police officer on patrol noticed a detached car bumper on Millers Lane near . There also had been some lawn damage at the school, a residence on the 600 block of Millers Lane and a residence on the 500 block of Anderson Avenue.

Police tracked down Kuhn by running the license plate on the detached bumper. According to the report, police observed several locations on the vehicle consistent with the damage done at the locations, as well as mud and grass.

Theft

James Ronald Clawson, 38, of Clarksburg, was charged with theft after an April 16 incident on Monte Carlo Drive. He is accused of stealing a Nintendo Wii, a TV and $14 in cash.

Harassment

A Jefferson Avenue resident reported harassment by a former employee on April 17.
