District Court: Zucco Hears Four DUI Cases

Here are the June 27 district court rulings for Plum-Oakmont.

Plum District Justice Linda Zucco heard the following cases on June 27:

  • Michael William Klaus, 36, of Plum waived a preliminary hearing in charges of driving with blood alcohol content of 0.02 or greater for the second time, intent to possess a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, and two traffic violations. filed the charges after a Feb. 24 incident on Rockland Drive.
  • Laura McFarland Jones, 23, of Blawnox waived a preliminary hearing on charges of careless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. filed the charges after a Jan. 4 incident on Second Street.
  • Michael J. Kertis, 53, of Plum waived a preliminary hearing on charges of driving with a suspended license, carrying and exhibiting license and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. A charge of driving with a suspended license was withdrawn. Oakmont police filed the charges after an April 16 incident on Maple Way.
  • Cassandra Dawn Truman, 21, of Murrysville waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Plum police filed the charge after a May 3 incident on Shasta Drive.
