Five Injured After Accident in Plum

Three adults and two children were taken to hospitals late Sunday night.

Five people were injured after a late-night accident Sunday along Route 286 in Plum.

According to an accident report filed by the Plum Police Department, the two-vehicle accident occurred at the Route286/Holiday Park Drive intersection just before 11 p.m. on Sunday.

A Dodge Durango, driven by a 17-year-old Plum resident, was traveling southbound on Route 286. While making a left turn onto Holiday Park Drive, the Durango drove into the path of a Dodge Stratus—carrying three adults and two children from Ford City—that was driving north on Route 286.

All occupants of the Stratus—ages 43, 37, 24 12 and 7—were transported to UPMC and Children's Hospital. Their conditions were not known.
