Man Accused of Shooting Gun at Boyce Park Held for Court

One man is heading to common pleas court and another is awaiting his preliminary hearing.

A Penn Hills resident accused of shooting his gun while drunk at Boyce Park is heading to Allegheny Court of Common Pleas, while a second man is awaiting his preliminary hearing in district court.

Allegheny County police charged the two men after police were called to the park earlier this month for reports of gun shots.

On Wednesday, Glenn Mark Mooney, 58, was held for court on charges of carrying a firearm without a license; recklessly endangering another person; disorderly conduct; public drunkenness; weapons in a park; and shrubs, flowers, trees and grass.

William R. Terry, 40, has been charged with recklessly endangering another person; disorderly conduct; public drunkenness; weapons and explosives; and shrubs, flowers, trees and grass. His preliminary hearing before Plum District Justice Linda Zucco has been scheduled for June 5.

The men are accused of being intoxicated and engaging in target shooting in a wooded area in the park.
