Man Accused of Shooting Gun at Boyce Park Waives Hearing

Two Penn Hills residents accused of shooting a gun while drunk at Boyce Park earlier this year will be formally arraigned in Allegheny Court of Common Pleas.

Last week, William R. Terry, 40, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of recklessly endangering another person; disorderly conduct; public drunkenness; ordinance--weapons and explosives; and ordinance--shrubs, flowers, trees and grass. His preliminary hearing was scheduled before Plum District Justice Linda Zucco. His formal arraignment has been scheduled for Aug. 13.

Glenn Mark Mooney, 58, also was involved in the incident. His formal arraignment was scheduled for July 1. He faces charges of carrying a firearm without a license; recklessly endangering another person; disorderly conduct; public drunkenness; ordinance--weapons in a park; and ordinance--shrubs, flowers, trees and grass.

Both men are accused of buying alcohol, going to the park and firing a gun multiple times in a wooded trail behind the model aircraft field on April 9.

Allegheny County police filed the charges against them.
