Three men accused of attempting to rob a Plum hotel waived their preliminary hearings last week.
Plum police charged Edward Andre Ellis Jr., 22, of Penn Hills; Brandon A. Johnson, 23, of Penn Hills; and Michael J. Perri, 27, of Allison Park, with robbery, conspiracy, simple assault and harassment. The three are accused of robbing the Super 8 Motel on Route 286 on April 28.
According to police, they attempted to rob the motel at gunpoint and left when they were unable to get cash. They were arrested in Hampton Township after another motel robbery and also are accused of robbing a motel in Monroeville.
They will face charges in Allegheny Court of Common Pleas.
