Oakmont Police Investigate Criminal Mischief Reports

Several cars in Oakmont were egged and keyed within the last week.

Several residents were the victims of criminal mischief in Oakmont within the last week.

Oakmont police received many complaints of egged and keyed cars throughout the borough, as well as reports of a broken business window and a damaged street sign.

On March 29, a Pennsylvania Avenue resident reported that someone had keyed their car. The same happened to an Elm Way resident on March 30.

On March 31, police noticed a borough street sign at the Maryland Avenue/Fourth Street intersection had been moved and damaged.

On April 1, four cars on Crystal Drive, three cars on Porte Street, two cars on Fourth Street, one car on Fifth Street and 1 car on Virginia Avenue were egged.

A broken window also was reported at Style Envy on Allegheny River Boulevard on April 2.

DUI

Melanie Devore, 39, of Cheswick was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a March 30 incident on Hulton Road.
