Oakmont Police Reports: DUI, Assault, Burglary

Here are the Oakmont police reports for Dec. 13 to Jan. 1.

The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports.

DUI

A Plum man is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a Dec. 29 accident. According to police, a vehicle crashed into a utility pole on the 400 block of Tenth Street. Charges have not been officially filed against the driver.

Assault

A Penn Hills man is accused of assaulting a bouncer at a local bar. According to police, the 26-year-old man punched the bouncer at the Oakmont Tavern on Dec. 30. Charges have not officially been filed.

Burglary

A resident of the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue reported a white, highly intoxicated male wearing a navy blue jacket tried to gain entry into the residence on Dec. 22.

An attempted burglary was reported on the 600 block of Allegheny River Boulevard on Dec. 27.

A Second Avenue resident reported the house had been ransacked and burglarized on Dec. 14.

A Sixth Street resident reported the basement door had been kicked in and a 48-inch TV was stolen on Dec. 31.

Criminal Mischief

The windshield of a vehicle on Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue was reported broken on Dec. 23.

A vehicle was egged on the 800 block of Fifth Street on Dec. 23.

An Eighth Street resident reported the house was egged on Jan. 1.

Theft

A Tenth Street resident reported a light-up reindeer decoration was stolen from the front yard on Dec. 23.
