Oakmont Police Reports: July 22 to 26

Several thefts reported. Police are looking for answers.

Several thefts and burglaries have been reported throughout the Oakmont area this month.

Police Chief David DiSanti said police have recovered several stolen items and are in the process of charging an individual with those incidents. The investigation is ongoing, DiSanti said, and residents are encouraged to contact police with any information they might have.

The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from police reports and call logs:

Theft

An Oak Street resident reported the theft of $20,000 worth of jewelry on July 24.

A Sixth Street resident reported a theft on July 24.

A Fourth Street resident reported a stole registration plate on July 24.

An Eighth Street resident reported a theft on July 25.

A College Avenue resident reported theft from a vehicle on July 26.

Burglary

A Sixth Street resident reported a burglary on July 25.

Public Drunkeness

Sean Patrick Merwin, 42, of Monroeville, was charged with public intoxication after a July 25 incident at the Tenth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue intersection.

Conor Kelly, 19, of Oakmont, was charged with public intoxication, underage drinking, disorderly conduct and four counts of prohibited acts after a July 25 incident on 11th Street.
