Plum Man Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for Possessing Child Pornography

Antonio Pampena, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

A Plum man pleaded guilty and was sentenced in federal court to serve 36 months in prison followed by five years supervised release for violating federal child sexual exploitation laws.

Antonio Pampena, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct by United States District Judge Gary L. Lancaster.

In connection with the guilty plea and sentence, the court was advised that Pampena possessed and accessed with intent to view over 1,000 images and videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct from December 2009 to April 29, 2010, according to a press release from United States Attorney David J. Hickton's office.

This case is a product of Project Safe Childhood. Launched in February 2006, Project Safe Childhood is a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the U.S. Attorneys' Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section of the Department of Justice, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children, as well as identify and rescue victims.
