Plum Native Promoted to State Police Major

Brian L. Locke was promoted last week.

A Plum native has been promoted within the Pennsylvania State Police.

Byron L. Locke, a Plum native, was assigned as the director of the Bureau of Records and Identification. He most recently served as the commanding officer of Troop D in Butler.

Major Locke, a 1973 graduate of Plum High School, has been working within the state police since 1983. He has served in several troops as corporal, lieutenant and captain.

Locke and his wife, Esther, live in Jefferson Township in Butler County. They have one son, Douglas.
