Plum, Oakmont Police Issue 19 Citations During DUI Checkpoint

Police officers conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Hulton Road on Friday.

Plum and Oakmont police departments teamed up Friday night to operate a sobriety checkpoint along Hulton Road.

The checkpoint was located along the Plum and Oakmont border, and both police departments were on hand to check cars—both are part of the East Hills DUI Task Force.

According to police, 295 cars were stopped; three people were detained for testing; two people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance; one person was cited for having a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; one person was cited for underage drinking; two seatbelt violation citations were issued; and 13 traffic citations were issued.
