Plum Police Handle Several Theft Reports

Here are the Plum police reports for the week of July 29 to Aug. 5:

Burglary

An attempted burglary occurred on Old Leechburg Road on July 24. A doorknob was broken from a storage facility.

Theft

A borough resident reported the theft of money and jewelry from the Cessna Marina on Coxcomb Hill Road and his Barking Road residence between June 26 and 30.

A Unity Center Road resident reported the theft of $600 on July 4.

A Carriage Drive resident reported that vinyl siding pieces were missing from the front yard on July 18.

Someone reportedly stole a registration plate from a car on Foxtail Drive on July 20.

A Kellywood Manor resident reported that someone stole a kayak on July 24.

Criminal Mischief

A Boulder Drive resident told police someone threw a rock through the kitchen window on July 16. A threatening note was attached to the rock.

Assault

Jessica Rae Kaczor, 23, of Plum, was charged with simple assault and harassment after a July 28 incident on Greensburg Road.

DUI

Michael Andrew Baird, 25, of Plum, was charged with Careless driving, failure to drive in lane and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol after a June 9 incident on Route 909.
