Plum Police Investigate Burglaries, Thefts

Here are the Plum police reports for May 28 to June 4.

Plum police are investigating several burglaries and thefts throughout the area.

On May 17, police were called to a Kellywood Manor apartment building after reports that it had been burglarized. According to the police report, someone entered the apartment through a sliding glass window and ransacked the place. A money bank with about $100 was stolen.

On May 19, a Plum resident reported someone had stolen her iPhone on a party bus that dropped everyone off at a Boyce Park Drive parking lot.

On May 20, a Douglas Fir Drive resident reported someone forced entry through a back door and stole a jewelry box with several rings, bracelets and necklaces.

On May 21, a gas range and refrigerator were reported stolen from a Greensburg Road rental property.

Criminal Mischief

A new construction project on Davidson Road reportedly has been compromised due to criminal mischief.

According to police, the contractor reported that someone intentionally drilled holes on the copper water pipes. When the water was turned on on May 24, water leaked behind the drywall, creating severe damage.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

DUI

Rennie Marie Balson, 51, of Plum, was charged with registration and certificate of title required, driving without a license, driving on wrong side of road, exhaust systems, tire equipment, failure to wear a seatbelt, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, and two counts of driving with a suspended license after a May 27 incident on Center Road.

Johnathon Michael Deily, 25, of Plum, was charged with operating a motorcycle with a learner's permit, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to wear a helmet, operating a motorcycle off road laned for traffic and three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a May 18 incident on Unity Center Road.

Forged Documents

Eric Lane Hamilton,43, of Murrysville, was charged with altered, forged, or counterfeit documents; registration and certificate of title required; speeding; and operating a vehicle without official certificate after a May 8 incident on Universal Road.

Fraud

A Plum resident reported that someone used her lost/stolen debit card at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center on May 14.

A resident reported nine unauthorized charges totaling $75 were made to her bank account between May 22 and 27.
