Plum Police Investigate Burglaries, Thefts

Here are the Plum police reports for May 8 to May 15.

A Verona man has been charged with burglary after attempting to steal copper piping from a Plum home.

Plum police have charged Damian Michael Drolz, 39, of North Avenue, with burglary, criminal mischief, theft, receiving stolen property and driving with a suspended license.

According to police, a resident on Repp Road called police May 9 for a burglary in progress at a neighboring home. The witness gave police a description of Drolz's vehicle, and when police pulled him over, they found the copper pipe.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 23.

Burglary

A Sardis Road resident reported a burglary on May 13. Bedrooms in the house had been ransacked and a TV was stolen.

Theft

A Willow Drive resident reported the theft of a child's wagon on May 12.

An Oliver Court resident reported the theft of a bike on May 12.

A Presque Isle Drive resident reported the theft of hubcap lug nut covers from a vehicle on May 11.

A Chapparal Drive resident reported the thedt of a bike and scooter on May 3.
