Plum Police Reports: Assault, Theft & DUI
Here's a look at the Plum police reports for Dec. 18 to Jan. 2.
The following incidents were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports.
DUI
John David Kuglmaier, 34, of Plum was charged with aggravated assault while driving under the influence, driving on the wrong side of the road, reckless driving and three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after an Oct. 27 accident on Logans Ferry Road.

According to police, Kuglmaier is accused of crossing the road median, hitting a guiderail and then striking another vehicle. Kuglmaier and the driver of the other vehicle had to be extricated from their vehicles by local fire departments.
Assault

Anthony A. Mawhinney III, 36, of Plum was charged with simple assault and harassment after a Dec. 20 incident on Chapparal Drive.
Shay Allan Law, 29, of Plum was charged with simple assault and harassment after an incident on Center Road on Nov. 9.
Theft
A ladder was reported stolen from a Penneco gas well on Wright Road on Dec. 21.
Criminal Mischief
Criminal mischief was reported to a vehicle at the Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department on Dec. 16. According to the police report, a fire extinguisher had been sprayed on the car, and tissue paper/yellow caution tape was wrapped around the car.
