Plum Police Reports: Aug. 23 to Sept. 6

Incidents reported to Plum police.

The following incidents were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from police reports and call logs.

Theft

Ten vehicles were broken into on or around Aug. 31. Thefts from the vehicles were reported in the Boyce Park Village housing plan off of Boyce Park Drive, the Garlow plan off of Unity Trestle Road and the Kellywood plan off of Repp Road. Police remind borough residents to lock their cars.

Summer Lynn Bruce, 29, of East Pittsburgh, was charged with theft and burglary after an Aug. 30 incident on Cherrywood Drive.

An Ohio resident reported the theft of copper welding cable at the Super 8 Motel on Route 286 on Sept. 2.

A Monte Carlo Drive resident reported the theft of an American flag from the front yard on Sept. 5.

DUI

Anthony John Bonar, 42, of Penn Hills, was charged with unauthorized transfer, driving with a suspended license, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and two traffic violations after a Sept. 1 traffic stop on Universal Road.

Maurice Earl Vason, 46, of Penn Hills, was charged with driving with a suspended license, prohibited acts, driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, suspended registration and a traffic violation after an Aug. 27 traffic stop on New Texas Road.

Simple Assault

Cory Marc Pontinen, 27, of Murrysville, was charged with simple assault and harassment after an Aug. 26 incident at Stewarts II on Saltsburg Road.

Raymond Dwyer, 50, of Plum, was charged with simple assault, harassment and two counts of terroristic threats after an Aug. 28 incident on Main Street.
