Plum Police Reports: Fraud, Criminal Mischief & More
Here are the Plum police reports for Oct. 9 to Oct. 15.
The following incidents were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from police reports and call logs.
DUI
Jason Robert Wunderlich, 28, of Homestead was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after an Oct. 13 accident on Saltsburg Road. According to the police report, Wunderlich crashed his vehicle into a Duquesne Light pole.

Fraud
A Plum woman reported that she came across a scam post for a Penn Hills home for rent on Craigslist. The woman reported on Oct. 16 that she wired almost $2,000 to an unknown person in order to rent a home at 345 Stoneledge Drive. Others also have reported the same scam to police. The incident is under investigation.

Criminal Mischief
A Unity Center Road resident reported someone had scratched the side of her vehicle on Oct. 5.
A Presque Isle Drive resident reported that someone damaged the exhaust tip of his vehicle for the 17th time on Oct. 9.
A Center New Texas Road resident reported slashed vehicle tired on Oct. 10.
Hit-and-Run
A hit-and-run accident was reported on Route 286 on Oct. 12. A motorist reportedly fled when they hit a vehicle traveling westbound on Route 286 as they pulled onto the road from the Pugliano's parking lot. Police are investigating the accident.
Theft
A Harborview Drive resident reported a stolen lawnmower on Oct. 14. According to police, the resident said he was cutting the grass, went inside for a drink and saw the lawnmower missing when he went back outside.
