Verona Resident Taken to Hospital After Falling Off Roof

The incident occurred on Seldon Avenue shortly after 2 p.m.

A Verona resident was transported to a local hospital after falling off his roof.

Verona police Chief Ron McLemore said the resident was conscious and alert when medics and police arrived to his home on the 400 block of Seldon Avenue.

"He wasn't very high up," he said. "He was on a lower level of the roof, but he was in a lot of pain."

The man was transported to a local hospital, but McLemore said he doesn't believe him to be in critical condition.

"He was talking to us and he was alert," McLemore said.
