Wilkinsburg Man Faces Charges After Crashing Car Into Tree in Plum
Here are the Plum police reports for Sept. 24 to Oct. 2.
A man is facing charges after crashing his car into a tree on Kerr Road in Plum.
Plum police have charged Desmond Jerral Bentley, 23, of Wilkinsburg with accidents involving damage to property, giving false identification to police, driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
According to the police report, police were called to a one-vehicle accident on Sept. 29 and found a Hummer had crashed into a tree on the 100-block of Kerr Road. When police made contact with Bentley, the driver of the vehicle, he allegedly gave them a fake name and birthday.
The following incidents also were reported to Plum police. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports.
Burglary
A burglary was reported at the Kellywood Manor apartments on Sept. 21. The resident reported a TV and $1,800 stolen.
Theft
Scrap aluminum was reported stolen from Abbie Glass and Glazing on Kerr Road on Sept. 26.
The theft of two vehicle tires was reported at the marina along Barking Road on Sept. 28.
