Wilkinsburg Man Wanted After Tarentum Shooting

Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit has issued a search warrant for Joseph Ntoko.

Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit has issued a search warrant for a Wilkinsburg man accused of shooting a man in the head in Tarentum on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Joseph Ntoko, 28, is wanted on charges of criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, robbery and other gun related charges. He is described as dark skinned, 6’6” tall and approximately 225 pounds.

On Wednesday night, Nov. 23, at approximately 8:23 p.m. the Tarentum Police responded to the 700 block of Roup Avenue for the report of a man shot in the head. The victim, a 23 year-old white male, was transported by medical helicopter to a local hospital for possible life threatening injuries. Tarentum Police then requested the investigative assistance of the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit.

The investigation revealed that the victim had been involved with Ntoko in a possible drug transaction involving a large quantity of marijuana. Ntoko then attempted to rob the victim and subsequently shot him in the head. He was seen fleeing the area with a duffle bag containing an unknown amount of marijuana in a newer Blue Chevrolet Impala with Massachusetts license plates.

Police are seeking assistance in locating the vehicle and the actor, who should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
