Horsby's Resignation Creates Vacancy on Riverview School Board

Riverview School Board member Dean Hornsby has resigned and district officials are seeking applicants who would like to fill his unexpired term.

Hornsby has not attended public meetings in 2012, and school board members have said other increased responsibilities have prevented him from doing so.

Hornsby has been on school board since 2009. His unexpired term runs until December 2013.

Anyone interested in filling the vacancy must send a letter of interest and resume to Frank Thompson, Board Secretary,  701 10th Street, Oakmont, PA, 15139, no later than Feb. 22.

All applicants must be a Riverview resident, at least 18 years old and a registered voter.
