Incumbents, Newcomer to Appear on Ballot for Riverview School Board

All incumbents and one newcomer have earned party nominations.

Four Riverview School Board incumbents and one newcomer will face off for four seats in the general election.

During Tuesday's primary, incumbents Lisa Ashbaugh, Arlene Loeffler, Theodora Tompa and John Hackworth earned the Democratic nominations with 584, 549, 508 and 454 votes, respectively. Ashbaugh, Loeffler and Hackworth also earned the Republican nomination with 229, 218 and 224 votes, respectively. Newcomer Melissa Botta Havran's 160 votes edged out Tompa's 140 votes for a spot on the ballot as a Republican.
