Plum and Riverview School Boards Reorganize

The Plum and Riverview school boards reorganized on Monday night.

Board members were appointed to committees and newly-elected members were sworn into office.

Plum School Board

Newly-elected board members Tom McGough, John St. Leger, Joe Tommarello, Loretta White and Rich Zucco were sworn in. Kevin Dowdell, Andrew Drake, Sal Colella and Shane McMasters also are on the board.

Here are the appointments made:

Andrew Drake—Board President and chairman of the Finance Committee
Sal Colella—Board Vice-President, chairman of the Education Committee and the board's Legislative Policy Council representative
Rich Zucco—the board's alternate Legislative Policy Council representative
John St. Leger—Forbes Road Career and Technology Center representative
Tom McGough— Chairman of the Athletics Committee and alternate Forbes Road Career and Technology Center representative
Loretta White—Chairwoman of the Policy Committee, and the Food Service and Nutrition Committee; Eastern Area School representative
Shane McMasters—Chairman of the Transportation Committee, and the Technology and Communications committee
Joe Tommarello—Alternate Eastern Area School Representative

Kevin Dowdell was appointed as treasurer.

Board meeting dates will be set for the last Tuesday of each month, effective January through November, unless otherwise noted.

Riverview School Board

Heidi Dolan, David Kadylak, Lois Vitti, Maureen McClure and Ernie Tillman were sworn in. John Hackworth, Dean Hornsby, Arlene Loeffler and Lisa Ashbaugh also are on the board.

Dave Kadylak—School Board Vice-President and Chairperson Finance Committee
Heidi Dolan—Chairwoman of the Education Committee
Lisa Ashbaugh—Chairwoman of the Student Life Committee
Arlene Loeffler—Forbes Road and Legislative Delegate
Lisa Vitti—Eastern Area Delegate

Patrick Clair was appointed at the district's solicitor for 2012. Barb Kumar was appointed as the district's treasurer from Jan. 1 to June 30.
