Plum School Board Incumbents, Newcomers Win Nominations

See who won their party's nominations during the PA primary election on Tuesday night.

Three Plum Borough School Board incumbents and three newcomers will face off for four seats in the fall.

During Tuesday's primary election, incumbents Andy Drake, Kevin Dowdell and Sal Colella earned the Republican nomination with 633, 625 and 597 votes, respectively. Newcoming Jim Rogers also won the party's nomination with 619 votes.

On the Democratic ticket newcomers Michelle Stepnick and Dawn Lynn Check, as well as Dowdell and Colella came out on top. They received 1,239; 1,208; 514; and 504 votes, respectively.

However, that could change—there were 1,054 write-in votes on the Democratic ballot. If someone received more write-in votes that one of the candidates mentioned above, they could be on the ballot in the fall.
