Police Officers Hired in Oakmont

Borough council hired two part-time police officers this week.

The Oakmont Police Department has two new part-timers.

On Monday, Oakmont Council hired police officers Robert Acquaviva and Christian Baker.

Acquaviva is a University of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Police Academy graduate, and Baker is a Penn State grad and U.S. Army veteran.

Police Chief David DiSanti said he is pleased with the two officers chosen to work in Oakmont.

"We wanted to make sure we got the cream of the crop," he said.
