Santorum Comes Close to Winning Iowa Caucuses

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania finished second in the Iowa Caucuses on Tuesday.

Mitt Romney claimed victory by a mere eight votes over Rick Santorum in the closest GOP race in the storied history of the Iowa caucuses,

Next Tuesday, New Hampshire voters have their say in GOP nominations, followed by South Carolina and Florida.

According to the Iowa City Patch, Santorum was  from Bob Vander Plaats and Chuck Hurley of The Family Leader, a prominent evangelical group in Iowa. He had a slow start but gained traction in the final week of the campaign.
