Santorum Comes Close to Winning Iowa Caucuses

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney won the Iowa Caucuses by 8 votes over Rick Santorum.

According to the Iowa City Patch, Santorum was  from Bob Vander Plaats and Chuck Hurley of The Family Leader, a prominent evangelical group in Iowa. He had a slow start but gained traction in the final week of the campaign.
