Traffic Calming Measures on Trestle Road Put on Hold

Plum officials tabled the matter, but are expected to talk about it next month.

The possible installation of traffic calming measures on Trestle Road in Plum has been put on hold for right now.

Earlier this week, Plum Council tabled plans to install three speed humps on the road at a cost of $14,000.

Borough Manager Mike Thomas said officials are looking into other alternatives that involve new technologies for speed enforcement. They could discuss the matter at next month's council meeting.

Residents of the road have been from speeding motorists for the last year or so.

A found that the average speed of those traveling the road is 42 miles per hour. The speed limit on the road is 25 miles per hour.
