UPDATE: Old Leechburg Road Closed Short-Term Saturday, Long-Term Tuesday

One-lane restrictions are in place until repairs begin after road collapses due to rain on Thursday.

Old Leechburg Road in Plum Borough will be closed short-term on Saturday morning, May 21, then close long-term starting Tuesday, May 24, as crews repair the road, which collapsed due to rain on Thursday.

"A slide occurred below the roadway, causing a portion of the road to collapse," according to Jim Struzzi, press officer for PennDOT District 11.

On Saturday, crews from Duquesne Light will be relocating utility lines in an area where a slide occurred this week between Ross Hollow Road and Leopard Court. The closure will occur from 8-11 a.m.
