Streetscape Revitalization Project – TreeVitalize

Members of the Streetscape Revitalization Project team addressed council regarding an application that the committee is submitting to TreeVitalize, “a public-private partnership to help restore tree cover, educate citizens about planting trees as an act of caring for our environment, and build capacity among local governments to understand, protect and restore their urban trees.”

If the application is accepted for , many, if not all, of the trees planned for the revitalization could be donated at no cost to the borough.

Fall Festival Success

Numerous members of council were very pleased with the outcome of this year’s Fall Festival

Council President Dom Conte thanked the many volunteers, police and residents who helped to make the festival a successful and problem-free one. 

Fall festival committee members commented that they are interested in working with the Streetscape Revitalization Project committee to donate new benches for the Riverside Park gazebo.

Perka, O.D., who at 168 Allegheny River Boulevard.

Upcoming Events

Councilwoman Rhoda Gemellas-Worf reminded council and the public in attendance to spread the word about , the Winnings and Wineries tour on Saturday, Oct.27, and the Dickens Victorian Village tour on Saturday, Dec.8. 

Gemellas-Worf stated that officials are hoping to fill the buses for both of these tours, where partial proceeds will benefit the Streetscape Revitalization Project.
