Center Elementary School Principal Hired

Jeff Hadley, the assistant principal at in Oakmont, will be the new principal at Plum's .

The Plum School Board hired Hadley for the position last week. He will be paid a salary of $83,000 prorated for the 2011-2012 school year. His first day is Jan. 9.

Hadley is replacing Judith Mahoney, at the end of the first semester of the school year.

Hadley has worked in the Riverview School District since 2010. Prior to that, he was a teacher in the Fox Chapel School District.

Hadley said he is excited for the new opportunity.

"I have been honored and thrilled with the opportunities I have had to serve the students of Riverview and Fox Chapel in my career," he said. "Leaving both of these districts has proven to be difficult because of the great respect I have for the high quality individuals I've had the chance to work with.  

"With everything I have learned about the Plum Borough School District, I am equally excited and honored to be joining their team. I am looking forward to getting started, meeting everyone and continuing the high standard of excellence that Plum strives for with every student every day."
