Living in a Muslim World

The Oakmont Carnegie Library in Oakmont will present "Living in a Muslim World" tonight, June 15, from 6:30 to 8 in the library's Oak Room.

Tina Whitehead, a volunteer with Palestinian Christian organizations in East Jerusalem and the West Bank since 2006, will talk about being a single, Christian woman in a predominantly Muslim World.

Although the area is known as the home of three faiths—Christianity, Islam and Judaism—the reality is that about 1.5 percent of the population is Christian. While Whitehead's work is with the local Christian community, many of her daily contacts are Muslim. Using pictures and her own encounters, Whitehead will speak about her experiences.

There is no cost for the program. For more information, call 412-828-9532.
