Meet Riverview's New Director of Student Achievement/Customized Services

Dr. Ashley Coudriet has been named the district's Director of Student Achievement/Customized Services.

The Riverview School District has a new administrator.

Dr. Ashley Coudriet has been named the district’s Director of Student Achievement/Customized Services. The position is a newly created one following the retirements of Lynn Black, Director of Student Achievement, and Susan Wiegand, Director of Special Education.

Coudriet will begin working in the district July 1,2013. She will be paid $95,000 annually. Black and Wiegand's retirements are effective July 13.

Coudriet currently is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment at the Apollo-Ridge School District.

Coudriet has worked as a teacher in Pittsburgh Public Schools and was a principal at Apollo-Ridge.

She holds a doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University, and a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts in Art Education with a minor in Art History.

Coudriet is certified as a K-12 principal, certified in the area of Curriculum, and is a K-12 Art teacher. She also earned National Board Certification in 2006. To earn this certification, teachers must complete a rigorous application process which can take up to three years.

Riverview Superintendent Peggy DiNinno said 13 people applied for the new position and 11 met the qualifications. Black, who was involved in the interview process, said she was "impressed" with Coudriet's credentials.

"She's fantastic," Black said.

The new administrator said she's looking forward to working at Riverview.

"I am really excited for this opportunity," Coudriet said.
