New Assistant Principal, Band Director Hired at Plum High School

has a new band director, and a new assistant principal will be joining the staff soon.

This month, the board hired Rachel Gattuso as the new assistant principal. Gattuso, who currently is a band teacher at Cornell School District, will be paid $75,000 annually. Her start date with the district is pending her release from her current job.

Gattuso is replacing Justin Stephans, who is the new Regency Park principal.

Bathany Loy also was hired as the new Plum High School band director. Loy, who previously worked at Serra Catholic, will be paid $46,000 per year. She started working at the district on Aug. 23.

Loy replaces former band director Jason Birch, who resigned at the end of July.
