This is irresponsible reporting. As of now, I have received no message regarding St. John the Baptist school being closed. I am a teacher there and I would have heard by now.

DId the person reporting this check the source to be certain? We always follow Plum Boro School District and as of now Plum has no report for tomorrow either.

We regret the error. We went with the best information we had at the time. However, the parish is closed, according to WPXI. The article has been updated to reflect the correct information.

The parish might be closed, but the school is not, at least as of right now. I understand errors do occur, but this has caused some confusion. There is also a ccd program that occurs in the school but is run separately in the evenings. That was cancelled for tonight, not sure about tomorrow.

Thank you, Marie. I have posted the information on our Facebook and emphasized that the school is NOT closed tomorrow as of right now.

Thank you, that will definitely help! I understand this whole situation has everyone on edge, and I can understand the confusion.
